NYC's Best Upscale Romantic Spots

For those of you who have a significant other and want to enjoy a nice meal together. Here are my picks for romantic restaurants in NYC.

Bâtard is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Manhattan. Each dish is brilliantly executed, the cheese selection is to die for, and the service is fantastic. It’s one of those upscale restaurants that has a cool, casual vibe. AND if you ask for it, you can even get a temp tattoo that says #BatardBabes and put it on your body like I did below. Even if you aren’t going on a romantic dinner, I recommend you still go at least once in your life.

Marea is a modernly elegant Italian/seafood restaurant located right on Central Park South. The atmosphere is beautiful, the service is great and the food is absolutely delicious. This place is on the fancier/fine dining side of the spectrum, which is a nice change of pace if you’re looking for an extravagant evening. I recommend at least one of you get the fusilli with red wine braised octopus and bone marrow. I don’t recommend going on a carriage ride in the park after your dinner.

La Grenouille is the epitome of an elegant midtown fine dining restaurant. The scene here is very upscale and slightly posh, but the food is out of this world. So if you're looking to really up the ante, hit up La Grenouille. Also: if you go, get the Dover sole. It's one of the best in the city.

If you want to go out for a nice dinner, this upscale "Mexican-inspired" restaurant is one of the trendiest and most delicious fine dining spots in the city. If you go, you must get the duck carnitas to share and the cornhusk meringue for dessert. You will not be disappointed.

Located in the Gramercy Hotel, this Italian eatery is "casual, yet elegant." Great place for you and your date to get all "Lady and the Tramp" with your pasta noodles.

Hudson Clearwater is a cozy hidden gem in the west village with new American food and cool cocktails.

Upscale, elegant Italian spot in Tribeca that is perfect for special occasions. The menu is mainly Italian but boasts some French flare and the pasta dishes are superb.

Spacious midtown Italian restaurant with a romantic atmosphere and an insanely delicious lobster tail that you must order.
